Link your POS
Step 2 of Revenue Maxing: one sign-in imports your menu, pushes orders to your register, and builds your guest book from POS history.
What linking your POS gets you
- Your menu imports itself — categories, items, prices, and modifier groups (including required choices like size or protein), exactly as they are in your register.
- Orders land on your register — every AI-taken order (phone, text, web, kiosk, Slack) is pushed to your Clover, so the kitchen workflow doesn't change.
- Native checkout — guests pay on Clover's hosted checkout with Apple Pay and Google Pay, settling directly to your Clover account.
- Your guest book builds itself — POS customer history (names, emails, phones, visits, birthdays) syncs into your guest book, ready for campaigns and playbooks.
Connect Clover (one sign-in)
Click “Sign in with Clover”
On the signup page, choose the green Sign in with Clover button and log in with your Clover credentials. (Already signed up with Google? Same button links Clover to your existing store.)
Approve access
Clover asks you to authorize HostBuddy for your merchant account — approve, and you land back in your console.
Watch the menu arrive
Your full catalog imports automatically. Multiple locations? Connect each Clover merchant and switch between locations in the console.
What happens after you connect
The AI can only sell what's on your menu — so the moment the import finishes, every channel (phone, text, kiosk, web) is selling your real catalog with your real prices. Change something in Clover later? Hit Settings → POS inventory refresh to re-sync.
No POS? Upload your menu instead
Farmers-market stall, pop-up, or a register we don't support yet — upload a menu PDF in Settings → Menu. HostBuddy parses it into items and prices and the agents sell from it the same way. Square and other POS connections are on the way.
Frequently asked questions
Which POS systems are supported?
Clover is fully supported today — catalog import, order push, and hosted checkout. Square and others are on the way; any store can use a menu PDF meanwhile.
Do AI orders print to my register?
Yes — completed orders are created on your Clover with line items, modifiers, and notes, so the kitchen sees them like any other order.
What if I change my menu in Clover?
Use Settings → POS inventory refresh to re-sync anytime. Your item photos, prices, and required modifiers update everywhere at once.
I have multiple locations — does that work?
Yes. Connect each Clover merchant; all locations live under one owner login with a location switcher in the console.
Where does the money go?
With Clover connected, guests check out on Clover's own hosted page (Apple Pay / Google Pay) and funds settle to your Clover account directly.
