Hostbuddy Privacy Policy

HostBuddy has created this privacy statement in order to demonstrate our commitment to customer privacy, and as a means to communicate our information gathering and dissemination practices for the information we obtain from individuals interacting with HostBuddy and its services, and applications. We reserve the right to change this Statement from time to time and will always have available the most up-to-date version of this Statement. As defined herein, Customer or customer is any business subscriber or user of the HostBuddy Service.

Collection and Use of Information.
On the Site you can do many things which involves your information; for example, you can request information, schedule a demo, get access to case studies, information on the Service, marketing or support materials, order services, apply for a job, register to become a partner. HostBuddy will collect and use personal information from you to provide the HostBuddy Service as well as for these purposes.

We require customers who register to use the HostBuddy services offered on our Site to give us contact information, such as their name, company name, mailing address, phone number, and e-mail addre3ss, and, if applicable, financial qualification and billing information, such as billing name and address, and credit card number. We may also ask for additional personal information, such as title, department name, fax number, or additional company information. Customers can update or remove their personal information at any time by contacting support@test12.hostbuddy.io.

HostBuddy uses the information that we collect from our customers to set up the Service for individuals and their organizations. We may also use the information a customer provides to contact customers to further discuss customer interest in our company, the Service that we provide, and to send information regarding our company or partners, such as promotions and events. Customer email addresses and any personal customer information may be shared with our partners involved in providing the Service but will not be distributed or shared with unaffiliated third parties. Customers can opt out of being contacted by us, or receiving such information from us, at any time by sending an email to support@test12.hostbuddy.io. Separately, customers are also asked to provide an email address when registering for the Service, in order to receive a username and password. We may also email information regarding updates to the Service or company. Email and related email addresses provided to HostBuddy will not be distributed or shared and customers can opt out of receiving any communication from HostBuddy by sending an email request to HostBuddy at support@test12.hostbuddy.io at the time it is distributed, or at the time any customer registers for the Service.

If you communicate with HostBuddy via e-mail, other form of communication, including interacting with us via the Site, we may retain such correspondence and the information contained therein and use such information to respond to your inquiry. We may also receive information about prospective customers and Customers from other sources, such as our agents, partners and service providers, and from publicly available sources.

Except as we explicitly stated at the time we request information, as provided for in this Statement, and as provided for in your Agreement with HostBuddy, we do not disclose to third parties the information you have provided. The financial and billing information that we collect through the Site is used solely to check the qualifications of prospective customers and to bill for the Service. This billing information is not used by HostBuddy for marketing or promotional purposes. HostBuddy uses third-party intermediaries to manage billing and credit card processing related to invoices paid by credit card. These intermediaries are solely a link in the distribution chain, and may be permitted to store, retain, or use the information provided, for the sole purpose of providing billing and credit card processing services to HostBuddy. Other third parties, such as content providers, may provide content or links to content on the Site, but they are not permitted to collect any information from the HostBuddy Site. Some users may access the Site using their credentials from other services (single sign-on) in which case basic user information is shared to permit login.

Customers of the Service use the Site to host data and information (“Data”). HostBuddy will not review, share, distribute, print, or reference any such Data except as described in this Statement, in your agreement with HostBuddy, or as may be required by law. Individual records may at times be viewed or accessed only for the purpose of resolving a problem, support issue, or suspected violation of the Master Subscription Agreement, or as may be required by law. Of course, customers are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of their user registration information and password.

HostBuddy may also collect and use certain information from visitors to and customers of the Site, such as IP addresses, the number of visits, along with information on what pages are viewed. This information is logged to help diagnose technical problems, and to administer our Site in order to constantly improve the quality of the Service. We may also track and analyze non-identifying and aggregate usage and volume statistical information about our visitors and customers and provide such information to third parties.

Legal Process; Investigations.
We may also need to access and or disclose your personal information to comply with the law or legal process, to exercise our legal rights, or defend against claims. It is possible we may also share certain personal and other information in order to investigate, and or take action in cases of suspected illegal activities, suspected fraud, and situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, or as otherwise required by law.

Cookies.
When you interact with the HostBuddy Website we strive to make that experience easy and meaningful. When you come to our Web site, our Web server sends a cookie to your computer. Cookies are files that Web browsers place on a computer’s hard drive and are used to tell us whether customers and visitors have visited the Site previously.

Standing alone, cookies do not identify you personally. They merely recognize your browser. Unless you choose to identify yourself to HostBuddy, for example by responding to a promotional offer, or opening an account, you remain anonymous to HostBuddy. Cookies come in two flavors: session and persistent-based. Session cookies exist only during an online session. They disappear from your computer when you close your browser software or turn off your computer. Persistent cookies remain on your computer after you have closed your browser or turned off your computer. They include such information as a unique identifier for your browser.

HostBuddy uses session cookies containing encrypted information to allow the system to uniquely identify you while you are logged in to the Site to use the Service. This information allows HostBuddy to process your online transactions and requests. Session cookies help us make sure you are who you say you are after you’ve logged in and are required in order to use the HostBuddy Service. HostBuddy takes precautions in its use of persistent cookies. For example, we do not store account numbers or passwords in persistent cookies. Please note that if you disable your Web browsers’ ability to accept cookies you will be able to browse the HostBuddy Site you will not be able to successfully use our Service.

Many browsers contain features that allow you to block or delete cookies from your system. To learn more about your ability to manage cookies and web beacons, please consult the privacy features in your particular web browser.

Third-Party Sites.
The Site may contain links to other web sites including social media sites such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and others. HostBuddy is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of these other web sites. If you choose to share information from the HostBuddy website through these services, you will need to check the policy statement of these others web sites to understand their policies. Customers and visitors who access a linked site may be disclosing their private information. It is your responsibility to keep information you share in this manner private and confidential.

Do Not Track.
The HostBuddy Service does not track its customers over time and across third party websites to provide targeted advertising and therefore does not respond to Do Not Track (DNT) signals. However, some third party sites do keep track of your browsing activities when they serve you content, which enables them to tailor what they present to you.

Some browsers have incorporated DNT features that can send a signal to the website you visit indicating you do not want to be tracked. Please consult the privacy features in your particular web browser to manage your DNT preferences. Security.
Our Site has security measures in place to help protect against the loss, misuse, and alteration of the Data under our control. When our Site is accessed using FireFox version 2.0 or higher, or Microsoft Internet Explorer versions 10.0 or higher, Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology protects information using both server authentication and data encryption to help ensure that Data is safe, secure, and available only to you. HostBuddy also implements an advanced security method based on dynamic data and encoded session identifications, and hosts the Site in a secure server environment that uses a firewall and other advanced technology to prevent interference or access from outside intruders. Finally, HostBuddy provides unique user names and passwords that must be entered each time a customer logs on. These safeguards help prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the appropriate use of Data.

Opt-Out Policy.
HostBuddy offers its visitors and customers a means to choose how HostBuddy may use information provided. If, at any time after registering with HostBuddy to receive information or ordering the Service, or otherwise providing information to HostBuddy, you change your mind about receiving information from us or about sharing your information with third parties, send us a request specifying your new choice. Simply send your request to support@test12.hostbuddy.io. Please note that if you are a Customer, HostBuddy must retain certain basic information about you in order to continue to provide the Service.

Correcting & Updating Your Information.
If customers need to update or change registration information they may do so by requesting HostBuddy to edit the user or organization record. To update information, please email HostBuddy at support@test12.hostbuddy.io. To discontinue the Service and to have your data returned, email support@test12.hostbuddy.io. HostBuddy will respond to your correction or update request within 30 days from the date of your request.

Changes and Updates to this Statement
We will review and update this Statement periodically. If we make material changes to this Statement, we will notify you either by prominently posting a notice of such changes prior to implementing the changes or by directly sending you a notification.
